The Exchange, located at 2120 Rousseau Street in the Lower Garden District, is the first and only dedicated pickleball facility in the Gulf South to combine both indoor and outdoor courts with food, drinks, and live music. Batture eliminated the building’s existing, multi-story addition and relocated parking areas to both interior and exterior areas. We utilized a previous rear courtyard, and integrated a new driveway, curb, and gutter on Rousseau Street. A development of this size required a Stormwater Management Plan, and we provided trees and other landscaping features to support the building’s architectural design.
Batture was hired by VergesRome Architects APAC and completed the project between summer 2022 and summer 2023.
