Greenhouse Workspace

The Greenhouse Workspace is a shared office development and event space located near Carrollton Avenue, within the GC Greenway Corridor Design Overlay District. Batture used their knowledge of historical renovation to expand this 1950s-era warehouse into 10,000 square feet of short-term coworking offices and a new events space. 

This project was completed between spring 2021 and early 2022. Batture worked directly for Formwork, LLC and collaborated with Cicada Architects and Fox Nesbit Engineers on environmentally conscious solutions to this development. The fully-functional work space has the unique distinction of centering biophilic design to create a healthier environment for members and enhance the work-life balance of the community served.

Batture added a new structure to the existing warehouse and a shared exterior deck to connect the old and new structures. Both stormwater management and landscape architecture designs were highlighted in the exterior courtyard, with a landscaped courtyard and outdoor conference area, built-in seating, and native plants provided by Luna Botanicals. The existing tree on the property was protected for shade and cover.
