
Margarita Rivera is Creative Director and Principal of Marketing and Strategy at Batture, she oversees the firm’s visual identity, public-facing messaging, and engagement collateral. Her work bridges technical content with accessible, design-forward visual communications that strengthen the firm’s presence across sectors. At Batture, she directs project-specific communication strategies and supports public infrastructure projects with custom designs, outreach materials, and engagement tools tailored for diverse audiences.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in visual communication with a focus on brand development, environmental graphic design, and nonprofit marketing. Ms. Rivera has led campaign development and branding initiatives for organizations including Eustis Engineering, City Park Conservancy, LASPCA, MINO foundation and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

Bob Mora has over 19 years of experience in land surveying and civil engineering, providing civil design services for both private developers and municipalities. He has successfully managed and completed projects for the Sewerage and Water Board, the Department of Public Works, the Regional Planning Commission, the Orleans Levee Board, and St. Bernard, Ascension, and Plaquemines Parishes. As a sub-consultant for the Army Corps of Engineers, Bob managed the construction of over $100 million of flood protection, earning a Certificate of Appreciation for Exceptional Achievement from the Hurricane & Storm Damage Risk Reduction System Mission. A native of New Orleans, Bob graduated from LSU with a degree in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. He is an active member and past president of the New Orleans Chapter of Engineers Without Borders, helping engineers identify pro bono opportunities both locally and around the globe. He is also on the steering committee of the Greater New Orleans Water Collaborative, which promotes best practices for regional water management.

Roderick (Rod) Richardson is Survey Operations Manager at Batture LLC, overseeing project management, surveying, and drafting for land surveying projects. When he joined the team in 2020, he had 18 years of surveying and drafting experience at a New Orleans engineering, architecture, and land surveying firm. He has experience with a variety of programs, including AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Leica GEO and Carlson Xport. His experience in rural, coastal, and urban settings has afforded Rod with an extensive knowledge of most surveying equipment and the skill of performing surveying tasks through the use of boats and ATV’s. Rod has completed surveying and drafting tasks for commercial and residential clients; organizations such as LaDOTD, the Orleans Levee Board, and USACE; and city/local municipalities.

Ellen Buckley is a local New Orleanian with nearly 15 years of experience as a Fundraising Events Director for several non-profits within the Greater New Orleans area, including The National WWII Museum, Audubon Nature Institute, and The American Heart Association. Through her work experience with non-profits and as the co-owner of her own wedding planning business, has honed her skills in client cultivation, volunteer mobilization, stewardship, event marketing, staff management, and office administration to ensure the success of the organization. She brings with her to Batture a proficiency in multitasking and flexibility with the changing demands of the workforce and industry in Louisiana. Ellen graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Orleans in 2007 with a degree in Art History and a minor in Business Administration. Throughout her career, she has always prioritized giving back to the New Orleans community and is excited to be a part of a socially and environmentally conscience engineering firm.

Originally from Guatemala, Hermann moved to New Orleans as a child and has been local to the New Orleans area ever since. He obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from Tulane University. While pursuing his master’s degree at Tulane University, he was employed as a Research Assistant performing structural engineering research.
Through 15 years of experience, Hermann has honed the following skills: design of foundations and high-wind resistant systems; design of steel, masonry, timber, and concrete structural systems to support gravity and lateral loads for new commercial, industrial, and residential construction; design of structural support systems and modifications for existing structures; construction oversight; BIM coordination; QA/QC for both design and construction phases; and project management. He is experienced in many software platforms, including Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, Enercalc, Excel, iLevel Forte, and Profis Engineering. Outside of the office, Hermann is Vice-President of One Heart NOLA and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Lauren Williams, PLA is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect at Batture with a focus on green infrastructure site interventions in an urban environment. Lauren has extensive experience in community engagement and public outreach for sustainable stormwater management solutions. In addition to her design experience, Lauren has performed construction administration for both small and large scale projects. As a Green Infrastructure Professional, (GIP), she played a key role in multiple award-winning green infrastructure projects in both Louisiana and North Carolina.

Matt Poché is a landscape designer with a passion for integrating design and construction to create thoughtful, functional, and buildable landscapes. With over six years of experience, his work spans a diverse range of project types—from intimate residential gardens to expansive 15-acre master plans—grounded in a deep understanding of materials, cost estimation, and project execution.
Matthew manages every stage of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and budgeting to construction documentation and on-site coordination. His background in both landscape architecture and architectural drafting allows him to seamlessly connect the built environment with its surrounding landscape.

Clifford Montero is a resident inspector and survey technician at Batture. He joined the team in 2021 as an inspector and has expanded his skill set under the direction of our Survey department. Prior to this, Mr. Montero completed resident inspection tasks for numerous agencies, including Sewerage and Water Board, City of New Orleans, and New Orleans DPW.
